Practical Help:
Volunteering - donate a little of your time to participate in the work
of CHAT. We appreciate whatever help you may be able to give. This may
be working in our offices and at our Reception, helping with our
furniture delivery service or assisting tenants we support in some
aspect of their lives, from decorating to going out for a coffee.
Training and support are provided.
Used Furniture - we collect, store and distribute, subject to
resources, good condition used furniture. This service is dependant on
the availability of our volunteers, space in our storage garages and
the
weather (!) since we don't have a van but use a trailer.
For insurance reasons we cannot accept electrical goods.
Food Parcels - donations of dried, tinned and long life food stuff to
help those struggling with their finances. Food that can be heated
using just a kettle or microwave is particularly useful.
Meal Vouchers - can be purchased at the New Creation Christian Book and
Coffee Shop at the top of Bampton Street, Tiverton, for distribution by
CHAT to those in need.
