Financial Support

CHAT believes that we are all entitled to a decent, secure and affordable place to live.
We are a registered charity which helps prevent homelessness by providing housing support and advice, assisting in finding suitable accommodation and providing landlords with deposit guarantees. We work with statutory and non-statutory homeless people.
Our funding comes from contracts with statutory services, grants and donations.
CHAT's financial requirements include:

A fund equivalent to the sum of the deposit guarantee that we give the landlord.
Our hardship fund provides help with emergency needs ie gas and electricity.
Funding for salaries, administration and support costs.
Cost of emergency Bed and Breakfast.

How You Can Help Us With Financial Support:

Regular Giving - to CHAT by Standing Order or a Gift Aid donation. The latter is a very tax efficient methods for many individuals.
Legacies - individuals can name CHAT as a beneficiary in their will. Leave a legacy that will benefit local people.

Churches - Corporate Membership £25 per year.Download application form Couples-Couples Membership £15 per year. Download application form Individuals - Individual Membership £10 per year. Concessionary-£7.50 per year. Download application form. In return for being a member of CHAT you will be entitled to vote at CHAT's Annual General Meeting. You will also be sent copies of CHAT's Newsletters to keep you up to date with CHAT's news.
